Spotlight on Abhijeet
Abhijeet Sethi | Business Head, Pre K-12 & Public Sector

As part of our Spotlight series, we catch up with leaders, doers, and inspiring employees of LearningMate to see the personalities behind the work. We ask them a few questions about what they do, what excites them, and to ponder how they've grown in their careers. Below is part of our chat with Abhijeet...
What's your role at LearningMate?
I lead our K–12 and Public Sector business units. My role centers on fostering long-term, meaningful relationships, helping our clients align education delivery with critical state benchmarks.
Ultimately, my role is to help enable schools, charter schools, and virtual institutions to meet the outcomes that matter to their communities. Whether it's deciding what primary students should learn or ensuring state standards are met, we empower decision-makers to drive meaningful school improvements.
We’ve also been instrumental in supporting teachers, addressing their day-to-day challenges, and giving them the tools to thrive. Working alongside service providers and stakeholders, we create solutions that genuinely make a difference for educators and learners alike.
Why do you think you’ve found success in your role?
LearningMate’s uniqueness lies in its ability to make a real impact—not just for schools or administrators, but for students and teachers at an individual level. Many ed-tech companies focus on product development alone. At LearningMate, we’re driven by a broader mission: transforming outcomes for learners everywhere.
This philosophy of impact shapes the company culture. We take pride in the fact that our work directly influences how students learn and teachers teach, addressing challenges across multiple facets of the education ecosystem. It’s this larger purpose that motivates us every day.
What makes LearningMate so adaptable to change?
Our adaptability starts with our people and our leadership. LearningMate’s leadership fosters an environment where creativity and agility thrive. Our entire organization is empowered to take on challenges and move quickly.
We are collaborative partners in our client's success. We are in the trenches with them continuously pushing the boundaries of what's possible, solving complex problems and ensuring they are ready for the next big challenge and opportunity for growth.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Stay scrappy. From the start, LearningMate was built on a scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that gave people the freedom to experiment. I believe it’s essential to keep that scrappiness alive. It’s what allows us to innovate, make bold choices, and grow in a competitive landscape.
