GoClass receives Platinum Award 2012

GoClass

GoClass LTE Concept received a Platinum award for Research and Development Initiatives at the 1EdTech™ Consortium GLC Learning Impact Conference in Toronto today.

A collaboration between LearningMate and Alcatel-Lucent under the auspices of the ng Connect Program the GoClass LTE Concept is a deep integration of the LearningMate GoClass platform with network infrastructure technology from Alcatel-Lucent and telecom service provider solution offerings.

The core GoClass platform is designed for content portability from the ground up and leverages the 1EdTech™ Consortium Consortium’s Common Cartridge specification to ensure that courses developed on the platform can be transported and managed in third party environments.

The larger solution concept leverages carrier class infrastructure from Alcatel-Lucent including the Velocix CDN, Motive Device Management, Open API Platform and light Radio WiFi and may be immediately deployed on heterogeneous networks by telecom operators.

Hosted by the 1EdTech™ Consortium the annual Learning Impact Awards are designed to recognize the most impactful use of technology worldwide in support of learning.

GoClass is a product with high potential for enhancing educational experiences by bringing together innovations in mobility, social learning, interoperability of content and classroom pedagogy,” said Dr. Rob Abel, Chief Executive of 1EdTech™ Consortium. “Congratulations to LearningMate and Alcatel-Lucent for achieving the prestigious Platinum Learning Impact Award – truly representing a best in class innovation in the application of technology to education.”
