Technical Analyst

Reports to: AVP, Strategic Accounts – K12 & Assessments

Work Location:   Princeton, New Jersey

Responsibilities: Analyze and document user requirements to design and deliver technology-driven software solutions for client companies. Conduct extensive research and analysis on user needs in the context of data management systems to fulfill project deliverables. Create documentation such as Use Case specifications, business flow diagrams, activity/state diagrams, and sequence diagrams to present to management. Translate user requirements into technical specifications and functions and develop technical requirement documents. Prepare software specifications such as customized scripts and document the software methodologies to be used for the design and implementation of software systems. Document software application process flows as well as software testing processes such as UI design review, test case review, UAT support, and impact analysis. Write and develop program code to complete project deliverables, streamline back-end operations, and increase overall company efficiency. Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the development phase and carry out various steps of the software development process such as Product backlogs, BPM, Functional Testing, and UAT assistance. Develop testing methods for the proprietary software and investigate errors, diagnose problems, and recommend solutions that ensure continued operational effectiveness. Serve as a functional expert on LearningMate’s proprietary software and provide technical support to users as needed. Participate in the technical sphere of the project while maintaining business process analysis responsibility. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends in IT and education technology solutions.

Requirements: The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in SIS, LMS, LOR, IMS Common Cartridge, QTI, APIP, Balsamiq Mockups, MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, Zendesk, and software development methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, and Lean.

40 hours/week.
