Essential Functions

Primary Purpose :

Primary Purpose
The Editorial Project Manager coordinates and manages the full life-cycle of all content-based aspects of assigned projects including schedule, tracking, and status to ensure project and customer objectives are achieved. The EPM collaborates with Senior and Supervising Editor(s) as well as Project Manager, when project necessitates, to establish project start up and execution processes.

The EPM will work with the Editorial Director and the Supervising Editor to assign writers, editors and monitor project quality and communicate with clients on projects. This position requires the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, pay strict attention to detail, troubleshoot, be creative, and have the ability to work closely with a small or large team, prioritize tasks, and thrive under deadline pressure. Essential Functions

  1. Consult/collaborate on evaluating RFPs and in developing the final bid.
  2. Manage awarded projects as assigned. Duties include planning and leading project staffing, and workflow; Collaborating with Project Manager and Supervising Editor. Communicating project issues and progress with Editorial Director.
  3. Direct the work of freelancers on assigned projects. Includes answering project questions, troubleshooting, and monitoring quality of work; attending project meetings.
